ChickPea Pea Piaza

Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower Cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Cumin Seeds Do not grind
  • 4 Bay Leaves
  • 8 Cardomon Pods
  • 4 Cloves
  • 4 Large Onion
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Tumeric
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
  • 2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • .5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 tsp Ginger
  • .5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 8 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Can Chickpeas Drained
  • 480 ml Coconut Milk
  • 1 Can Tomatoes
  • 4 Handfuls Frozen Peas

Instructions

  • Heat 1 Tbsp Oil in a large pan, add Cauliflower florets and cook for 10 minutes until golden. Remove from pan and set to one side.
  • Add 1Tbsp Oil and fry Cumin Seeds, Bay leaves, Cardamon Pods, Cloves and cook until fragrant. 1-2 mins
  • Add Onion with 1tsp Salt to spices and cook until golden.
  • Add ground spices, chickpeas and garlic, then mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add Puree and cook for a further minute, mixing well.
  • Add Coconut Milk, cup of water and Cauliflower
  • Cook for 15minutes
  • Add Frozen Peas and cook for 5 minutes.
